Is that little thing real? Are those brown wax discs?? WHY DOES NOBODY TELL ME THESE THINGS

Yep: it's a Columbia "Toy" Disc Graphophone, circa 1899. I remember one of these showing up on "Antiques Roadshow" some years ago. :geek:
