Hello,
I am new to the forum and somewhat new to Victrolas. I have a 1917 (according to the serial number) VV-VI that is missing the diaphragm and U-shaped piece that connects it to the tone arm. I have seen a few on Ebay but some don't say what models they go to. They look right but how can I tell if one would work or are they all pretty much the same. Don't want to buy one that won't work. Is there any things I can look for to identify one that will connect to my tone arm?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Todd

Todd, Why don't you post a photo of your machine with attention to the tone arm. I bet you could find the parts you need from other Forum members. Jerry Blais

Re: VV-VI- diaphragm/Reproducer Question
Thanks, here are some pictures of the VV-VI- I have. Haven't started cleaning it up yet, just got it and found out the diaphragm is missing along with U-shaped piece that attaches it to the tone arm. Hopefully someone out there has or knows what I need.
I would have put it together first but I'm also looking for some of the little ball bearings that go under the tone arm.

Does anyone know if the pieces on this one work?

Re: VV-VI- diaphragm/Reproducer Question
The Exhibition reproducer would have worked but don't believe the U tube on that tonearm would have worked as it looks to be from the later "fat" tonearms. You will also need ball bearings and a bearing "ring" in between the tonearm and bracket if those are missing as well. The Yankee Trader is a good place to start with an ad to see if any members have what you need. Good luck and enjoy the machine!

Re: VV-VI- diaphragm/Reproducer Question
I guess what I really need to know is how interchangeable are the U-tubes and how do I tell which is which from a picture? Many of them on Ebay don't know what model they go to.
Also, is the Exhibition reproducer the same as the No. 2?
Thanks for all the help so far.
