Absolutely wonderful! :D It shows how superior the Edison recording method was in recording orchestras in comparison to the lateral cut acoustic discs of that time.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!edisonplayer

Thank you, Curt! I'm more than a little embarrassed to admit that I'm very Amberol and Diamond Disc Re-Creation challenged, especially when it comes to "Christmas" recordings; as well as "78" challenged, too. ;)

Wow! I have over 100 cylinders in the British Series, but none of the Nutcracker selections. Those live-recorded cylinders are a pleasure to hear. I play the clarinet in a community band, and we just finished our Christmas season concerts which included those selections from the Nutcracker. It was interesting to compare those recordings to the arrangements I have played.
