How many of you have encountered the brass colored governor springs on the early Victor and Victrola style motor? I changed mine with the blue tempered steel ones I picked up a while back. I noticed that the brass color ones are more flexible, and that the hole in the center is far more accurate for assembling the weights.
I decided to swap the old ones back in and bingo, the machine runs more smooth in motor noise and the speed does not go as far into the fast zone.
I am wondering if anyone has noticed a difference? Does anyone make these types anymore?
