SOLD: Columbia Eagle B (XP) Nickled & Polished - $875

Happy New Year to everyone. I am offering a rarely seen Columbia Type B with the Nickeled and Polished finish. In Hazelcorn's book, Columbia Phonograph Companion Volume 1, he refers to this model as the BXP which was introduced in 1898. Mr Hazelcorn also gives the Rarity rating as R-7, where R-1 is common and R-10 is where possibly one exists. Mr George Paul has been researching Eagles for years and I think he has documented 12 of these Nickeled & Polished models, hopefully he will comment on this post. This example is in very good condition and plays well. The plating is in VG+ condition and will note the most wear can be seen on the bedplate under the gear mech, and on the front right side of the carriage rod. Both spots can be seen in the pictures. If you want more pictures, send your requests and I will post. The cover/lid has some veneer damage as seen and is in Fair condition. The 10" horn is an accurate reproduction. As rare as they are I am selling this one since it is a duplicate in my collection. I have seen these machines sell for well over a thousand dollars and I think it is priced fairly. I am open to trades for small horns, Reproducers, HTF Parts, or ?? Let me know what you have. Also, I will sell this without the horn -$40. Shipping will be actual cost from Florida. It will be well packed. I can also bring it to the Orlando Phonograph Show in a few weeks. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the kind words. The machine has been sold. I'm glad I have another one, these are really neat machines. I don't know why they seem to come my way, but this is the 4th N&P I have owned out of the 20 or so Eagles.
