Originally made for the indian market, the HMV 25 was also one of the last horn models that the Gramophone Company Ltd. sold with the home market.

Re: HMV Horn Model 25
Does this predate the models with the corner-mounted tone arm and conduit, or is it contemporary?

Re: HMV Horn Model 25
Correction: it was not originally made for the Indian market. It was a mid-20's addition to the British home market and available in oak. The Indian models followed and were usually made from teak.Odeon wrote:Originally made for the indian market, the HMV 25 was also one of the last horn models that the Gramophone Company Ltd. sold with the home market.

It predates the Model 32 (to which you are referring to) which also had the four-spring motor and 12" turntable and the exclusive Indian market Model 31 (double spring version of "32" with 10" turntable).Lucius1958 wrote:Does this predate the models with the corner-mounted tone arm and conduit, or is it contemporary?
