HMV Portable Model 118

Post by Jacob Black »

The HMV portable gramophone model 118 was only available in india. It is unusual in that the case was opened lenghtways, instead of other portable models that opened on the short side or rather behind the opening horn.

Not particularly "portable", given the size and weight: but if you had a servant or two with a good back... ;)

A really handsome machine.

I'd like to hear one. Apparently (from an old thread on here) it is a 102 horn with extenders on both ends.
