We've made a record. A wonderful recording. But sell it not. Not at any price! We mean it!

I Googled the copyright phrase and the only link to pop up was a 1963 Beatles record that also had a label stating it was a factory sample and not for sale.
You´ll find this stickers from time to time with European or German records. Usually these are exhibition records (sample records) used in the records stores to play them for potential consumers. As the resellers hadn´t to pay for these records, they aren´t allowed to sell them.
In the nursing home where my 96 year old mother resides, there is a 104 year old lady who worked in a record shop before WW2. She tells me that as a perk of the job the staff were allowed to take these demonstration records home to play at weekends, but they had to be back in the shop on Monday morning.
When I occasionally take machines and records to entertain the residents, this lady pays close attention. Once, after I had played a few WW1 themed acoustics, she immediately recognised the next record as an electric!
