Is the seller selling a photo that belongs to someone else? Surely the star of the photo should be able to reclaim his property!

Yikes -- I totally missed that this was in an eBay auction. I thought the picture came from my website, but duh, that photo is much sharper than my scan of the newspaper-printed ones. I still have 8x10 glossies that the newspaper photography gave me, I have no clue how his negatives ended up in Pennsylvania. I suppose I'll have to bid for it. ;)

Let's all bid on this just to make sure Rene wins it!

Judging by the look on Rene's face, the photographer was on "take 17."

It's funny what can turn up on eBay. Some time ago one of my auto searches turned up a 1969 yearbook from the university in my hometown. One of pages the seller chose to show had my dad pictured (John Paul):

You don't expect to see your dad (or Rene for that matter) on eBay! :)

Going back to the original published article I now see that the eBay photo didn't make the cut for final publication. :?:

If you don't mind me asking, what was the going price of phonographs back then? As a teenager in 2016 I have found it rather hard to afford phonographs. :?
