I can't see the stylus, is the image showing there is, or isn't one ?

Also, can you tell me how you change the tpi from 2 to 4 minute ?

Dave on the left side of the gear cover you can see a round knob. Pull out for 2 min, push in for 4 min or vice versa. The one pictured appears to be not in the greatest condition but it all depends on how much you are willing to spend and your particular preferences.

1) The stylus appears to be there, but a macro photo even at that resolution cannot be definitive. If worst comes to worst, replacement stylii can be had.

2) The TPI is changed by pulling out a little knob on the left side of the gear cover. The round knob is visible below the hex nut in the 3rd photograph.

No, the 21st Century hasn't quite caught up with Keith yet. It's strickly telephone or post I'm afraid but he is good, probably the best soundbox/ reproducer man in the UK.

Congratulations! You now have a good, well made phonograph which should give years of faultless service.

The Fireside Model A was the first 4 -minute phonograph I ever bought in about 1975 from Dave Smith in Hendon. 40 years later, it still comes up to London regularly for the CLPGS meetings and works as well as it ever did.
