So THAT"S where all our Montana snow went!

Weird winter this year...we didn't even get below zero.
We got grass trying to green up here as if it's spring already....HUH?!!

Here in the Carolinas, ice was the biggest problem. Lost power at my place for 36 hours. Doesn't take long to really appreciate the "modern" conveniences. I guess back in the day, folks took it all in stride around the fireplace with phonograph music playing. :)

Hi all,
Here in Timonium, Maryland we received about as much or more than the airport 28.2 inches a new record for a 24 hours and data here has been taken since the late eighteen hundreds.
We were snow locked until Tuesday afternoon.
Beat to all,
Allen

The snowstorm missed us up here in Buffalo for a change. Last year however we were slammed with an 84" snowfall. We're used to a lot of snow but that was ridiculous. Good luck to those having to dig out. It's not fun!

My Daughter was driving across Lake Norman on the Slanting Bridge as we call it here, lost control and went over the guard rail landing in lake Norman. It was about 20 degrees and she could only get out of the car by the sunroof. Somehow it got busted out during the wreck. She swam to shore and started running to a bar that was on the other end of the bridge, when someone she knew saw her. She said she was stripping as she was running to get the ice filled clothes off. She then went home and fell asleep. When she awoke, she called a friend on the Fire Dept. and told him what had happened. He said they were over there just starting to put divers in the water. The only thing you could see was the very top of the car. I am so grateful she is OK.
Here's a couple pictures I got from the news paper.

She just left here showing me her new car. She finally took my advise and bought a 2015 Dodge. She has always bought what ever she could pay cash for.
