Question about a traveling arm--homemade?

Picked this item up in a box lot of odds and ends. It's about 30 cm long. Looks like a homemade job. Any thoughts?

I'll temper my response a bit---- I said "not even done well"... but it looks relatively old, so was likely someone's attempt to get a machine working again-- It didn't have to be perfect or look exactly like an original. It probably worked just fine and allowed the family to dance on Saturday nights!

Thanks, Brad. I was wondering if any part of it may be original to an old machine. Probably the horn rest and that's about it. BTW, hope you enjoyed all the snow we got.

I think Brad's "tempered" reply is very accurate. Unfortunately, the horn cradle also falls into the functional handyman category. Jerry Blais

Snow... Here's a picture of my house-- We had 34" in the front yard and didn't see a plow until late Tuesday afternoon. I got a couple motors rebuilt and got started on a couple long overdue project machines. Fortunately being retired, I didn't have to go anywhere. Unfortunately, my wife was away taking care of her ill mother, so I was all alone!
