I'm restoring a Model XVI Silvertone for a friend. This was the most expensive model that Sears made, and I think it's the first highest model phonograph, I've ever seen that didn't come with an automatic brake. (Even more obscure off-brands included one.) So it's just weird Sears would make such an elegant high end model without one.
