Everyone has their own methods with the ball bearings and the method I use is to put a little vaseline around the needlebar pivot? shaft and using plastic tweezers place the bearings into place. I use a rubber o-ring to hold the pivot in center place when doing the first side; the bearings hold it for the second side. Last I place a rubber dome from under a laptop key to hold the bearings in place; I like this method better than any I have tried. The edge presses lightly against the ball bearings and goes into the sleeve; the raised center portion presses against the inner surface of the dust cap. There are more steps in doing a sound box and this does well for the bearings part.
