There is a nice Emerson upright in Virginia---going to remove the motor and parts to put new sound system in and keep the "old look" --it survived 95 years, oh well, at least it isn't going to be a bar and painted to look classy! Hope I can persuade the person to change their mind and keep a non-electric early machine from recorded sound preserved.

Unfortunately, Shabby Chic is seems to be quite chic today.

I think my favorite is the one with the Bonnie and Clyde portraits on the side.

Seller states s/he put a regular Led Zeppelin record on it and it worked ([once?])! What kind of needle does one use for Led Zeppelin: steel or fiber?!
Tip of a syringe or hemp fiber, I would imagine.

Here are the photos of the Jupiter and Jersey shore listings, before they disappear (although that may be for the best!):

Besides the evident destruction of cabinets dear to all in this forum, what intrigues me is that there seems to exist people that would put something like that in their livng room, and stare at these monstrosities every day. I can only think of revenge, like a wife whose husband sits all day in a couch watching TV, and buys one of these to put the tv set on ("now HE has to look at this the whole day").
