Merits of the machine aside, the seller:
1. Did not offer world-wide shipping. That excludes a lot of potential buyers, especially in Australia, the Far East, & Europe.
2. Did not allow returns. To me, that is a big warning sign.
3. Charging $250 is at least double what domestic shipping would cost to even the furthest reaches.
4. Stated that he would not ship, which sort of contradicts the stated $250 shipping fee. Confusing.
Selling anything fairly common without accommodating buyers is a good recipe for not generating interest.

Well, something must have went wrong, as it is back on eBay for a BIN of $1650. The shipping costs are a little high, but I still think it is a fair deal.

Well. Shipping costs aside. Look at the lousy restoration. Piece of trim missing from the bottom corner by the crank, wavy plating on the elbow which seems to have issues (or sloppy assembly) holding the horn. Unrestored bracket, can hardly see the decals.
More signs of over polishing on the crank escutcheon and turntable rim. Dreadful gloss polyurethane with poor grain padding and filling, plus to top it all off, the brads holding the tag on the front are too small! It's simply full of "holidays" as the painters call poor work.
Of course opinions are like a**holes; everyone has one. But dammit. Only the best workmanship is nearly good enough for my hopelessly unrealistic standards I guess. That's why I prefer dead originals,

blizz. Although, I don't know the seller....the data plate tacks are 100% correct and original. The nickel plating is either really clean polished original (many of us have machines with original nickel like this) or re-plated. The waviness is merely reflection.
I don't see any missing molding on the crank side. Where exactly is it missing..??.

I removed my comment on the missing molding after seeing what appears to be a sliver of wood absent. However, the pics are so poor...I would still reserve judgment until seen better.
Regardless, for a non-purist that wants to own a difficult model to find at a reasonable price...it seems reasonable to me IMHO.
