Busy Bee Disc Records

Post by Gatyam »

Have seen 7" and 10" Busy Bee disc records, but wondering if they made a 12" version?

Yes, Busy Bee discs were made in 7", 10", 10.5" and 12" varieties. As a rule, 7", 10" and 10.5" examples are single-sided records, except for most (if not all) of the "D" series of the 10" variety which are double sided. Most (but not all) of these 10", "D"-series, double-sided discs have very atypical Busy Bee labels with patent/licensing information contained within white ring boarders. I don't know if 12" Busy Bees are found in single-sided, double-sided, or both varieties. Anyone???

The one 12" Busy Bee in my collection is single-sided.

Okay, thanks for the info. Now I know that 12" Busy Bee records exist, but they sound pretty rare. What would be a reasonable price to pay in the unlikely event that I run across one?
