That horn on eBay looks a bit large to me, but it's very difficult to tell from pictures. But there's absolutely no reason for you to be paying $40 plus shipping for this sort of thing.

My advice to you will be difficult, but SLOW DOWN and allow a few days/weeks for someone to help you out. You'll save money and possibly a lot of aggravation trying to fit the wrong parts into your A-100. I know you're excited and you want to get your phonograph up and running right now. We've all experienced that urge. But that's the urge that makes us vulnerable to poor decisions. Just take a breath. What you're doing is not going to be difficult - - that A-100 will be singing by spring.

I deleted my post because I decided to slow down before I even saw your post . I have not contacted the individual just yet. I think as you are saying I will end up with a $150 - $200 bill on my bank account and my wife will be angry. I am going to wait until the tax return goes through before I start racking up parts

Whew! I was afraid you had already bought it...

As for your wife becoming angry, that may be a hazard of the hobby. Mine doesn't even ask any more!

I'm waiting for that direct deposit tax refund too. My accountant told me it will take a little longer this year because the drug cartels have been filing numerous phony returns with huge refunds, and our government has given away something like 5 billion in refunds to them. The IRS is being more careful now.

Oh fantastic. It really does not surprise me at all though.

Yeah we've been through this before. I am into older military firearms. I don't hunt or even shoot much but I just love anything useful made out of an old tree I guess . She seems to be giving up. I am pretty good about finding avenues to make up for it though.

No I am not familiar. This was my first stop after the antique store. I knew nothing and am learning a little each day. Once the tax return comes in I am hoping to have enough knowledge to get it going .

If you find a DD horn anywhere, the dimensions for the mouth of the #100 are (approximately) 13 ½" x 9 ½".

You may want to keep your eyes on this. Not only will you get the parts you need (and more), but you will also get the 'lateral' attachment in order to play regular 78 records.

The S-19 used a "150" horn, which is too large for the A-100 cabinet.
