I also seem to have many copies of Three O'Clock in the Morning on Edison DD where you can find it on piano by Ernest L. Stevens where the subtitle is "That Bewitching Waltz", The Club De Vingt Orch., and sung as a duet by Eliz. Spencer and Charles Hart, 51087 which has a red star. It seems to have been a hit in the 1921-22 era.
I just found my copies of 51087 and the Ernest Stevens piano version of
Three O'Clock in the Morning. I said above that 51087 was a red star record because that is how it is shown in the Charles Gregory books. But when I found my copy there was no red star on it. Does that mean that records that may not have sold well might have been given Red Stars after they were issued? BTW the Spencer and Hart duet version of this waltz is very well-sung and very charming! I don't see any reason why the Edison Co. would want to "red star" it. So is the superb Ernest Stevens on piano solo. Also, the Club de Vingt orchestra version, who were the first to record it on Edison, is also superb!
