Someone help me out on the type of oak! Seems a bit high, but looks to be an odd finish.

I had one like that about 10-12 years ago and it pretty much had the same finish. It looked like a "weathered" oak type of finish to me, and actually looked pretty good in person. I think it was just a thin coat of shellac with wax over it. It wasn't too much of a finish, that's for sure.

Fumed oak finish? Ask seller whether the correct owner's manual comes with.

Technically it is a Dome Top VTLA which is a pretty rare machine in an very unusual finish. The trim damage is what would hold me back if it were local. But if it works right I would think it is worth 2x what a regular L door would fetch even w the damage. IMO.

That appears to be fumed oak. Not a very common finish. Such a deal!

Once again, it's worth pointing out that fumed oak is a light finish, not a dark one.startgroove wrote:That appears to be fumed oak. Not a very common finish. Such a deal!

That actually appears to be weathered oak not fumed oak. An oak Vtla is a very rare machine to find. The price doesn't seem that high for this machine.
