With no corner columns it would appear to be a plain case Victor II. The reproducer is something adapted and not an Exhibition. Plus, they are asking about twice what it is worth. Jerry Blais

Zipcord, do you make it to the APS sale at Buena Park in August? I always find a treasure or two to bring home. Jerry Blais

"With no corner columns it would appear to be a plain case Victor II."

Indeed, the Craig's list ad itself states that it is a "Vic. II 1275." Name, rank, and serial number, I presume.

"The reproducer is something adapted and not an Exhibition. Plus, they are asking about twice what it is worth."

True, but to be fair they are asking $1500 or best offer.

Best wishes, Mark

As a new collector, you should also consider purchasing some of the great reference books published by our good friends George Paul and Tim Fabrizio. I think there are seven total. You could also consider visiting a few of us local collectors to learn about the true width and breadth of the hobby with all of it's avenues and paths of travel.

From there, an annual trek to the APS show will likely become tradition.

Welcome to the hobby.

Mark
