Someone is selling a VV-XI tabletop on ebay. I have one of these, will be keeping it instead of the VV 1-70.

This seller always has great machines for sale. I am not interested in bidding on an XI at the moment; but, I wonder what the value of one would typically be. Any ideas what this one might go for?

Honestly the prices are tricky on these...I would think that it should go for more than $1,000.00 considering that his machine is in nice complete condition and rare. If it is purchased for less than $ 1,000.00 their is some concern that it may be bought for parts in completing an external horn machine, if it runs over 1,000.00 then chances may be less for using it as a parts machine.Chilesave wrote:This seller always has great machines for sale. Is anyone aware of a spider leg XI? I had seen one years ago on Ebay, but the distance was half way cross the country and I don't remember if the seller was willing to ship.

This one has quite a few bids. Already at 430.00, I think it will exceed $ 1,000.00...Any thoughts.

Re: eBay: VV-XI tabletop
from what I've seen, a thousand is definitely at the high end for one of these (although this seller's machines often sell high). XII's on the other hand, either version, seem to more commonly go for that amount, more or less (they've also got the oddity factor going for them, with those ultra small sound doors). the tabletop XI's seem closer in value to (probably worth slightly more than) the tabletop X's. a seller at the wayne NJ show a few years ago had two tabletop XI's, both needed a little work but were complete, and as I remember neither one had sold by the end of the day despite that he wanted only 300 to 400 each, which is what I'd consider the low end.

Here is one on Craigslist in the midwest. What would be a fair offer for this one?

Never heard of it, but the "Queen Anne" version of the VV-X is known...emerson wrote:Is anyone aware of a spider leg XI? I had seen one years ago on Ebay, but the distance was half way cross the country and I don't remember if the seller was willing to ship.
