Edison LU-37 Grille Cloth

Post by wvphonoguy »

What kind of grille cloth (if any) did Edison LU-37's originally have? I have one that has a velvet one that is obviously incorrect. The cabinet is brown mahogany. I am considering using a golden brown silk.

Thanks,

"I am considering using a golden brown silk."

That would be a wise choice as the original was most likely the same.

Jerry,

Here are photos of an untouched LU-37. I tried to adjust the color as close as possible to the original, but it's still a bit too light in these photos. Imagine a lightish pumpkin orange, and that's about right. :)
