DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS ?

I found this today at a collectors house who was selling some machines. Can you guess what it is??? I will let everyone know tomorrow if no one identifies it correctly.

Below is a page from page 133 of Antique Phonograph Accessories & Contraptions showing a couple of different but similar devices. Also shown is a B&B Duplex which accomplishes the same thing. They're interesting little gizmos. :)

My Grandpa told me they used to put the headphones into a great big bowl, so everybody could hear the radio.

We aren't all too good... I thought it looked like the gadget you put on an outside faucet to attach two hoses... :lol:
