Does any one know a safe way to clean Hawthorne & Sheble silk finish horns?

I have not tried cleaning but a friend got good color back on the silk finished Kalamazoo Duplex horns with some old fashion shoe polish.

Jerry - do you know if it was paste or liquid shoe polish ? Any buffing afterwards ?

I just gave Stan a call for the particulars. He said he applied Kiwi paste shoe polish with a soft brush, waited a while, and removed the excess with a soft brush. The results looked very nice to me. Jerry Blais
