Hi folks,

An error appeared in the most recent installment (PART II) of my multi-part work on the Edison Chippendales, please observe the following corrections to my work found on pages 18 and 19 shown below in red):

TYPE 2; Mounted to both sides of the drawer tops were numbered celluloid indices marked 1 through 37 on the left side, and 2 through 38 on the right, graduated by twos alternately from left to right.

TYPE 3; Mounted at the base of both shelves were identical celluloid indices numbered 1 through 36, sequentially.

TYPE 4; This arrangement was identical to the TYPE 3 system except the numbered celluloid indices were changed to reflect numbering of 1 through 72, sequentially.

I apologize for any confusion I may have caused through my error,
Fran

Hi Fran,
Yes I did note the errors but type 4 bottom shelf is 37 through 72 not 1 through 72. I add this since I have SM-173825 about 13,000 from the highest serial number.

Yes, Allen, the top index remained unchanged, only the bottom had changed. BUT, the numbering was sequential. :)

:( My March, 2016 issue of the journal has still not arrived... even though, if I understand correctly, they were originally mailed out roughly 100 miles from my home!?! Maybe some postal employee is reading my copy, and contemplating joining the APS! :)

Waiting patiently in WI,
Bob

Gosh, I felt sure that I must be the last one to receive it! At least one collector in NJ received his copy on March 2nd... ;)
