I'm a Stoneman fan. Nice. Thanks for posting. I'm not sure it's the saddest song ever on Edison. There were "The Prisoner's Song" and of course "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen". Try to find these by Kaplan's Melodists. They are fairly common and you won't be disappointed imho.... :monkey:

I swear most of Vernon Dalhart's songs are about death and train wrecks...

I nominate "Molly Brannigan" as one of the saddest songs I've heard on Edison. The guy sounded suicidal. He's probably dead now. :lol:

I have The Mississippi Flood with The Wreak of Number 9, and a couple more.
A lot of death for sure.

I have I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen. It's sad, but two sweet little kids don't die in it. I'll have to check out the other.
