Here is a three-sider, freshly transferred, one I've wanted to do for awhile. It's taken from Columbia "Full Range" late '30s pressings (somewhat swishy -- sorry), although the recording was about 10-years-old by the time of this release. The acoustic of the Concertgebouw is quite extraordinary, and the performance is as well (IMHO). The engineers must have worried that the climaxes would blast the recording, as there is some audible fiddling with the gains (I tried to correct this a bit). One can hear also why Beethoven admired Cherubini. This used to be a very popular piece, but isn't heard much anymore (a shame).
Luigi Cherubini -- Anacreon: Overture Willem Mengelberg--Concertgebouw Orkest, Amsterdam (Columbia Set X-35; WAX2841-1/2842-1/2843-1; ca. late 1927)
Enjoy!

Adam,
Wonderful! It does remind me of Beethoven.

John

I've made a couple of new very minor edits (in the side joins) to improve the transfer, so you might want to download the new version (same link as above).
