I have found several spreadsheets online that are overly complicated with information about recording dates, etc of Edison Diamond Discs. Is there a more simplistic listing that helps to date when particular runs of discs were released? For example:
Disc 1-300: 1916
Disc 301-600: 1917
Disc 601-900: 1918
I know that's overly simplified, but I am looking for release dates to help simplify my cataloging method for my Diamond Discs (I like to organize my records by year of release). Can anyone help me out? I thought that I had seen such a listing at one time, but cannot locate it again. I know that dating is somewhat complicated because of the 80000 series vs the 50000 series, but I'd certainly appreciate a simpler listing if anyone has one.
Thank you!
Ed.

Re: Dating Diamond Disc Records
The excellent book "Collector's Guide To Edison Records" by Copeland and Sherman goes into great depth on the subject of dating Edison DD records.
