I got this XVI today. I am pretty excited! The only labels I could find were under the motorboard and one inside the cabinet. They do not describe the finish. I have another Walnut machine, but the grain is pretty simple compared to this one. So does anyone have an opinion whether it is American Walnut or Circassian Walnut? Thanks.

Beautiful example of an American walnut machine. The graining is really quite beautiful. Congratulations!

Spectacular machine! If that's American Walnut, and I think that's likely, it certainly blurs the distinction between American and Circassian Walnut. Jerry Blais

A nice piece to have in the collection. It looks much better than my american walnut XI.

Mike;
This American Walnut cabinet certainly rivals one with Circassion Walnut. I have a Victrola VV-130 that also has this
veener, they are stunning.

Mike,
What a beautiful finish!
The American walnut looks like it's factory new.
That XVI must have been treasured by its original owner.
