Well records themselves have made a come back. I get people interested, when the weather is nice on an afternoon, I take a phonograph down to the sidewalk and play some cylinders, or bring the little vic 0 down and play 78s and people will stop and listen. I live on main street above a store, so down the steps to the sidewalk. Also when we have street festivals I bring my phonographs down for a few hours and play them on main street.

I was 16 (at the height of the British Rock N Roll Invasion) when I got my first Victrola filled with records for $12. Even though I was not familiar with '20s music and was exposed to rock and MoTown, there was something about that '20s stuff that I immediately liked. I also found that a number of popular tunes in the '50s and '60s were actually remakes from '20s music. So, I have grown up with an appreciation for all types of music - classical, country, bluegrass, rock, MoTown, '20s jazz and dance and I feel blessed for having been exposed to it all.
"The phonograph† is not of any commercial value."

"No one needs a Victrola XX, a Perfected Graphophone Type G, or whatever you call those noisy things."
