Question on Victor Credenza

Post by flashpanblue »

Hello,
This Credenza is about a three hour drive from my house and is for sale for $300. I have always stayed away from these machines because they are so darn heavy to move but it does look to be in decent condition. The seller says that there is a break in the pot metal back bracket. I have two questions. Does anyone make a reproduction replacement part? and what you guys think about the price?
thanks
Pete

They are great machines. Nearly all the later one's will need to have that bracket replaced and I think they are around $80 now. I bought mine at Union last year and I think it was from Ron Sitko. That's even a Canadian Credenza, the ID tag and the decal under the lid is a bit different. Looks like a nice machine and I think it's a great price if you are in the market for one. I sold one I refinished for about twice that last year.

I agree, $300 is a bargain if nothing else is wrong with it.

I agree that this looks like a good buy.
I purchased a repro back bracket for an 8-30 on line recently for a little under $80.
It was easy to install and worked great.

If the cabinet is truly as good as it looks in the pictures, the grille clothe is good, and the motor runs with no ugly noises, I think it is reasonable.

If that sound-box is brass, it alone is probably worth $300.
