Replacement of Diamond Disc stylus

Post by Edisonh19 »

Hi folks. I recently acquired a c-19, but the stylus seems to be damaged. It sounds good through the speaker, but you can hear a decidedly nasty scraping (when you stick your head near the record) as it plays a record (don't worry, I have a "test" record that I use), and it scrapes at the surface of the record. You can see a decided greying of the surface. My question... who replaces these? Or where can I purchase a quality replacement?

Thanks!
Ed.

Indeed: the new 'Bruce' stylus is considered a perfect replica of the original.
