Any info on the Edison Bell Concert?

Post by vtlamark »

Hello, does anyone have any information on the Edison Bell Concert phonographs? I have one I'm selling and any info on these would be helpful as there is not a lot out there
Thanks

I have an early one of these. The Edison Bell Catalogue for 1902-3 shows them (the second A Model with Banner) as having a detachable mandrel so that standard cylinders could be played. My early A with full cover does not have a detachable mandrel. It is simply an Edison Concert with an Edison Bell plate added. I have attached a scan of the catalogue. Mike Tucker.

There are details and photos of this machine in the latest CLPGS Reference Series book. See http://www.clpgs.org.uk/reference-series.html.
