Yeah, I sent you a reply on that.
For the set screw, if you don't really want to wait for a proper replacement, you can probably find something at Ace or some other hardware store. Just bring the bracket with you, and use it to test screws until you find something that works. Shouldn't be more than like 20 cents, and while it probably won't be pretty, you'll at least be able to use it.

Well, if the set-screw is of standard thread and pitch, you should be able to find modern set-screws that will be almost un-detectable.
I'm thinking of Allen-socket-head set screws, which come in a variety of lengths, and points. Most are finished in black oxide.
I would try to find one that leaves the head flush with the bracket or slightly recessed when tightened against the pin.
In my neck of the woods, ACE hardware have one of the better selections of hardware, with Hillman fasteners loose in compartment drawers, as opposed to blister-pack hell at Home Depot or Lowe's.
