Many of us will remember back in 2003 when the late Charles Gregory published his monumental 4-volume work on Edison Disc Records. Nothing like it had ever been published before or since. The original price for the 4-volume set was $199. Now, through an arrangement with Mr. Gregory's estate, the Antique Phonograph Society is pleased to announce the availability of these same books from Mr. Gregory's original inventory - - at a much reduced price to bring them within reach of all collectors.
Edison Diamond Disc Record Labels & Discography is a four volume reference set of books, and contains:
5,050 Different Edison Diamond Disc Record Labels from the popular series. (These can be photocopied to replace lost original labels.)
135 Different Edison Monthly Record Supplements.
997 Edison Recording Artist Illustrations.
282 Edison Diamond Disc Machine Illustrations.
1402 Total Pages.
Edison Artist Index and complete Dating Guide from recording studio cash book entries.
This four volume set is a comprehensive discography of immeasurable value to record collectors and to others interested in popular music and popular culture of the 1920s.
Price: Only $40 per set spiral bound, or $50 per set perfect bound.
We are not yet ready to ship these, but we can bring a limited number of sets to the Stanton auction on May 5, 6, and 7 for immediate delivery. If you would like a set, please either PM me or post you interest along with which binding you prefer.
There is no obligation (although we'd appreciate not hauling around unwanted sets!) but to be sure we have enough sets at the Stanton auction, please let me know your interest along with your choice of binding.
I will post here when these books are available by mail.
These books will be available for purchase at Union.
This announcement is for delivery and purchase at Stantons May 5, 6, 7 Auction ONLY.
For discussion about these books and links to reviews, see this thread:

I picked my books up at Wayne, and I must say that there's so much more in these books than just the labels.
There are several full-length articles concerning different aspects of the Diamond Disc history. Interspersed with the labels are corresponding leaflets describing monthly releases, etc. Pictures are plentiful throughout.
These are hefty full-sized books worth the space on your bookshelf!

Thanks, gentlemen.
Like Bob, I took possession of my books last weekend. I too was surprised by all the material contained therein. I think the 135 Monthly Supplements are alone worth the price!
Best to all,
George P.

I already have a set of the Perfect bound vols, for which I paid $199 about ten years ago. I'm tempted to buy another set, since I would be saving $159! So put me down for a Spiral set at Stanton's auction. Marc Capralis
