Does anyone have a gear cover that fits the opera or amberola 1A phonographs? There were two gear covers on these. The large one is L shaped and covers the governor/etc.
The small one is next to the mandrel and covers the lever that drops the mechanism onto the feedscrew.
I need either an original or a reproduction cover for this one. I found that grampstreasures has reproductions of the large cover; but, I need the small one also.
Any help would be appreciated!
thanks!

You probably need to be more specific as to what you are looking for; the Opera and 1A parts are probably not interchangeable. The 1A does not have an "L" shaped gear cover on the left for example. The lift lever gear cover on a 1A is about 2 ¾ inches wide, if that helps.

Re: WANTED: small gear cover for Opera or Amberola 1A
I just checked my covers, and it does look like these are the same for both. The only difference I could find is that my 1B cover underside has the numbers "20298 2" and the 1A has "20298 1."
I'd check with Croakinfrog on ebay for something like this. Good luck!
