Just got a Bing Pygmyphone motor in pieces. The center end of the spring is broken off. How does it connect to the winding shaft? Any photos of what a properly assembled spring should look like? There is a little 'C' shaped part that appears to slip over the winding shaft. Is this what the center of the spring connects with?
Thanks! Cliff

The drive gear is present on the one I have, just not shown in the picture.
Can you describe how the center of the spring is connected to the winding shaft? I think the center somehow connects to the C shaped piece that appears to slide over the winding shaft. The attached photo shows the C shaped piece/
Thanks! Cliff

Re: Bing Pygmyphone Spring
Hi,
Well, I can't unwind the spring then open the "barrel" to see how the center of the spring is connected to the C shaped piece (too risky with these toys!!!).
I know that, some time ago, I did change the spring of a Bing gramophone by connecting the spring to this C shaped piece but I really don't remenber how I did it...
Sorry!
Jeff
