I am finally getting a rebuild of my Edison Diamond Disc reproducer by Steve Medved. I am excited to be able to own a reproducer with the reliable "Bruce Diamond", I will be having Larry's Diaphragm installed. I will probably buy another Edison Reproducer down the road and have him rebuild one with Nick's diaphragm as well.
I have been watching the You tube Videos from Larry and they sound great.

Re: Bruce Diamonds and Larry's Diaphragm
I have really enjoyed my A250 since replacing the diaphragm built by Larry. Still using the original diamond stylus, but I have considered sending it to Bruce. Thanks Larry for improving Edison's work.

Steve Medved has and can install both the DD stylus and the diamond stylus for the 1-A or B cylinder reproducers. He has rebuilt my A and a DD reproducer with new styluses and Larry's diaphragms and both perform outstandingly. I can not fully express in words how fortunate we are to have these two dedicated men to help us get the best sound out of our old phonographs! Steve had told me that the other new diaphragm he uses only on the Edisonic reproducer as it is desirable in that application.

Re: Bruce Diamonds and Larry's Diaphragm
Thanks to those who appreciate the efforts to provide decent sound from your Edison. Its been my goal from day one. Its not a typical reproduction style diaphragm, its based on some ideas that Bob Waltrip used but improved in sound. Steven has indeed used mine for many cylinder machines and disc machines. Recently he finally realized I could provide a diaphragm for the Edisonic or Dance that would be superior as well. I just sent him a batch of those which are very much like the standard diaphragm version but I leave it a bit thicker to deal with the additional weight used on the stylus.
Nick has a diaphragm which is visually much like the original. It has very good sound and perhaps someday will be the replacement for mine. At the moment there are slight differences between the two. He is young and I am getting up there so I hope at some point he can mass produce his to meet the needs of collectors. I never did this to make money, I only did it to provide a way to hear the Edison much as it was intended to sound.
Here are a couple shots of the overall idea which I took a couple years ago by now.

Re: Bruce Diamonds and Larry's Diaphragm
I failed to make a point in my last post.. The sound on the videos, (at least the ones using the new camera), are very close to what I hear here. Some not quite as loud so that it won't over distort the sound. Since mechanical horns are very directional you will only hear the total sound if your a direct path of the sound waves. If your off to the side a bit, or in the case of the console I record on standing, the sound will be less intensive. So judging a diaphragm has to take into consideration your location in relation to the horn.. On uprights I find that standing from a sitting position improves the sound, but the console is best sitting. One of our members had mentioned he wasn't getting the sound that he heard on the recordings. For one the old camera which was not adjustable tended to boost the sounds and now that I have the new set up I can really see how much it effected the sound.. Not always to its advantage either. However when I ask where he listened to it he mentioned that he sat off to the side of the machine.. That location would give you the music but not the fullness of the sound.

Re: Bruce Diamonds and Larry's Diaphragm
That or one of those persons was me and I have since rotated the 1 A so that it points toward me. I have as yet to rotate my DD.
I am sorry if I have misquoted Steve in regard to the diaphragm he installs in the Edisonic.
My Edisonic has at most may have had the gaskets replaced before I received it. My C-19 is in the cellar near the opening in the heat duct over head and I must remove the Edisonic install the rebuild normal DD reproducer close the heat duct opening and stuff a rag in the horn (I do not have a mute ball) so that my wife is not distracted when she is trying to read up stairs.

A 1 Ford,
I didn't mean to imply that your statement was wrong, it was quite correct. Its only been the past few weeks that his choices have changed and will effect some rebuilds in the future.
