A friend has a Garrard "A" turntable and he want to have the drive wheel rubber remolded. But he can't figure out how to remove the turntable to get at the wheel. There is no clip around the center as on other models. See photos. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Re: Removing a turntable from Garrard A?
I just did one of these! Have someone grab with two hands on either side of the turntable and gently pull up. Another person should have the handle end of the screw driver on the spindle, then gently tap the screwdriver with a sledge hammer. It should pop off after a few whacks.
Just make sure all retaining clips, etc. have been removed and be sure that whoever is pulling up on the turntable has equal pressure on both sides.
