In today's world there seems to be an app for this and an app for that.

Are there any apps that can be used to measure turntable speed?

That's an interesting app, though I got a little cross-eyed and dizzy watching the phone spin around on the turntable at 78 rpm!
Now, how to strap it to a cylinder mandrel!

Back when I was doing CD transfers of 78s for my own small label, I made this speed disk. Under fluorescent lighting it works great.

Mine has a smooth case, and as such my VV-IV tossed it like a pitching machine.
