no matter, they show the machine well... and what an excellent example. is that model very scarce? and I like the elongated horn... not quite orthophonic, but more than straight - does the difference translate to better sound (in person)?

I have an HMV 109 table model with the same sort of horn and in combination with the updated tone arm it gives a very good sound for a machine it's size. With a #4 soundbox can play early electric recordings on it with decent results.

Those post 1925 HMV machines that DIDN'T have a re-entrant horns always interest me. It was a great way to avoid paying royalties to Western Electric yet at the same time provide acceptable sound. I would like to hear one of the "saxhorn" machines in person..that is to say the one with the biggest horn.

Shane, great looking machine. I bet it sounds very good in person. I had a similar table model years back, an "Electrola" (German HMV. It sounded great. How's the motor in this one? The only thing I did not like about my table model was that the motor was a little weak. It took a full winding to make certain you could play through a full 10 inch record.

I wonder why your pictures won't enlarge? That's a bit annoying.
