Victor Victrola 370 1924

Does anyone know how much these are selling for? And how rare are they? Book states 907 were produced and they were short lived made only in 1924 for less than a year. Is there a forum member that owns one? Any info would be appreciated!I got the reference picture from the Victrola Page.

One recently sold on Columbus Ohio's Craigslist, I'm not 100% but I think it was only $300. The only thing that kept me from buying it was that I had no room to put it.

I would say that the $300 sale was a great buy for someone and not a typical selling price for these.
I owned one about 15 years ago (found it about two miles from home), but had to sell it along with the rest of my collection at that time, when my oldest daughter became seriously ill.
They are rare birds indeed.
Back then I paid $475 for mine, which I thought was a really good buy.
I would think a nice original would still command $500-$600.

Not only rare but some nice features , air support lid ,gold plating, speed indicator , auto stop,ornate cabinet carving, 4 spring motor and only 907 made compared to VV XI 280,000 produced.It doesn't look like you run of the mill Victrola,s maybe a different cabinet maker?

Don't know where you got that 280,000 figure for the VV XI, but the correct number for all XI production is c. 860,000! http://www.victor-victrola.com/XI.htm

As for the 370, by this time the enlargement of taper tube, sound box, and horn size should mean, I'm guessing, pretty good sound reproduction. Wish I had one to listen to!

I guess i am more interested in how many are around verses value .I found one in pretty nice shape for $300.00 at a estate sale and after bringing it home and going through it i realized that it was pretty nicely built , i will probably pass it on to my kids if they want it what i am trying to find out is how many forum members own one of the VV 370 .

It does have a great sound and i just realized after your reply that the tonearm and goose neck are larger diameter thanks for the correction on amount produced.
