SOLD: GIANT ALUMINUM VICTOR HORN - $1000 (for Union)

Post by Zwebie »

Will bring to Union if Pre-Sold:

Enormous G&T/HMV/Victor Aluminum rear mount horn!
This horn which is 37” x 23.25” has been professionally rolled and polished and looks gorgeous!
Although it’s huge, it’s made of aluminum and weighs about 3lb., so it will not bend the elbow.
This was the largest belled horn ever made by victor and was sold in Europe.
It has the original knurled nut to hold it securely in the elbow.
I think it would look great on an early Victor D, or G&T Senior Monarch.

The price is SOLD - $1000

Please P.M. or Email

Thanks, Bob S.

Does the horn fit in a standard US Victor elbow and then is held in place with the knurled nut? Jerry Blais

Yes Jerry, fits the standard III thru VI elbow.
The knurled nut, although not necessary, helps hold the horn more securely in the elbow.

My last picture shows the horn on my Victor V.

The knurled nut on the horn is a typical early HMV/G&T fitting. I have this set up on my early HMV/G&T machines. It makes a secure fitting to hold the horn in place in the elbow. I don't know why Victor never adapted this to thier domestic machines.

What a much more logical construction than the Victor "L" sized horn. About the same dimensions but a fraction of the weight. Beautiful horn!
