All I can say is I try to be careful about bidding on records on the auction site. Way back I received some Edison etched discs, they had bad chips, hung grooves etc., to the dumpster. While I am not as worried about shipping of Diamond Discs (I did have a mint one end up broken in half in the box) you still have to look for swollen records, lamination breaks and cracks etc.

I have purchased many of my discs from Mr. Solarski on Ebay, he had alot of the old discs from the Ferguson dealer.

What on earth must have happened to that box, I wonder? It's no easy thing to break a Diamond Disk.
