If you have an Edison Amberola III and would like to move it on to a new owner (me) please send me a PM or Email message.
It must be original: no repainted bedplate or refinished cabinet please. Normal age, handling and play wear are expected and I consider that perfectly fine. Either mahogany or oak is acceptable. Prefer contacts (or location of machine) in Eastern U.S. as commercial (UPS, FedEx, etc.) shipping is not a viable delivery method - sorry I don't want to risk damage. Have cash in hand for the right one that is priced fairly. Not in any hurry - just would like one for the collection. Have many unusual trade items as well if you're interested.
Thanks!

Re: WANTED: Edison Amberola III
I know Charley Hummel had a mahogany one at the Wayne show; I don't know if it sold or not. Maybe you could try and contact him.

Re: WANTED: Edison Amberola III
Hi Doug,
I injured my back yesterday lifting an air conditioner. Guess I shouldn't be doing this at 71. It difficult to walk and impossible to bend over. I'm pretty much stuck on the couch with my iPhone. I wanted to take a short video of the machine playing to answer your question about that. So I thought I would wait a day or two to see if I could do that for you. My phonograph collection room is on the second floor and I don't think I can get up there. I'm sorry you felt disrespected as that was not my intention. I didn't think you needed an answer that quickly. I have done business with many of the forum members who I'm sure would vouch for my very professional dealings with them. Sorry we got off on the wrong foot. I hope you are able to find a nice machine.
