My properly functioning S19

Post by Dwheels »

Hello all, this is currently where I am with my S19. I still have to clean the grille frame and replace the fabric, make a bracket to attach the right frame rail and come up with something to hold records behind the door. Also, plug all the holes someone drilled in the back for vents... :x
Many thanks to
52089, for the diaphragm, some free records and some odd bits.
Phono-Phan for supplying a horn free of charge.
And JerryB for delivering the horn free of charge.
As I told Jerry a zillion times, in person, ;) I am thrilled it is working. It sounds louder and better than I was expecting.
Thanks again to all here for making this a pleasant place to visit and learn.
PS: Thanks Jerry for listening to me babble in person

Nope, got home after work, 12mid, and put in horn to try it out. In AM ,took apart motor board, re-cleaned, lubed and put back together. Was on a mission after getting horn. ;)

I am more than happy to help you with the horn for this beautiful machine. Do you need the support bracket for the motor frame also? I have some that I could send you. I appreciate your efforts to get this phonograph working again.

The brackets I am referring to are the ones, if there is more than 1, that supports the wood trim that goes around the motor board. The piece on the left screws into the motor mount, I'm not sure if there is a bracket to support the trim in the back as well. The one on the right, I don't have any place to attach it. If anyone can tell me how many there is and/or pictures of one might be helpful. Though I should start a separate thread for these type of questions.

As for posting a video on youtube, I don't have an account  Though I probably put a vid on flikr.

Danny,
If someone could post some pictures of the bracket(s) you need, I might have them for you.
