I bought a Sears Oxford that I picked up on my Union trip with the intentions of selling my BKT. After sitting them side by side there are quite a few differences. The mechanism is identical with the exception of the back bracket. The entire back bracket assembly on the Oxford is painted black and the cabinet is small and more basic. A piece of paper inside the Oxford stated that it could be purchased for less than $20. Does anyone know the price on the more deluxe BKT? Both machines are exceptionally nice. If I can find the space in the basement, both machine will sit side by side for the near future.

According to Hazelcorn, the BKT sold for $35.00.

You're fortunate that both of these have the 2/4 minute gearing which is always a nice bonus for Columbia cylinder Graphophones.
