I have a VERY early BE, (maybe the earliest, s/n 75), with the same "backwards" arrangement. Don't know if it's a function of being so early, or just a mistake...

A friend of mine has a backward BG. I have heard of too many for them to be an accident. We theorize they may have been ordered by some dealers as working window displays.
