My Vic #2 with a new diaphragm. I used a soft tone needle. This machine surrounds hate and forces it to surrender-Pete Seeger.

It sounds quite good, it would be nice to hear it playing an electrical recording. Have you adapted your Edison diaphragm to the Victor 2?

Thanks. I will upload an electric soon. The diaphragm has the same proportions as the DD, only shrunk down.CarlosV wrote:It sounds quite good, it would be nice to hear it playing an electrical recording. Have you adapted your Edison diaphragm to the Victor 2?

Re: Demonstrating another custom diaphragm.
The diaphragm is made of fiberglass resin impregnated rice paper. With a polystyrene stiffener. It is identical to the diaphragm I've made for standard Edison Disc reproducers, except the dimensions, including the stiffener, have been changed to accommodate the Vic #2 sound box. It's an idea I've been toying around with for a while, while developing a replacement diaphragm for Edison DD phonographs.emgcr wrote:Excellent sound---well done. It sounds just great! If you ever make 'em for the Exhibition, I'd sure be interested!

Very nice. It sounds very good. And I'm in the same boat as Henry as I would also be interested in an Exhibition model.

Re: Demonstrating another custom diaphragm.
Would you accept an order (orders) for diaphragms of specific diameters ? I should be very interested in "road testing" in an EMG or Expert reproducer.

Re: Demonstrating another custom diaphragm.
I can do orders. What I would need are pictures and measurements. Shoot me an email, and we'll hammer out the details. Thanks for the interest.
